Shout-outs

This weekend was our annual Bible conference here in town, had 3 preachers and a couple musical guests, with at least 50 people. I saw some friends I hadn't seen in awhile, Marisa being one of them. It was good to actually catch up in person, rather than thru blogging comments : ) . During break one nite, Royal and I went in the elevator to go hide on a floor from Josh, he gave us a minute to get to a floor then came after us, we'd done it once earlier. This time when we got in the elevator, it got stuck between the 6th and 7th floors. I picked up the phone and called the front desk, and then we just waited for them to get us out. I said to Royal, "this wouldn't be a good time for either of us to be claustrophobic." He and I neither one thought we were, but after a few minutes of being in there and pacing the elevator we started wondering if we might be. first we were standing there talking about how we weren't scared and being calm, because I've been stuck in an elevator before(last time i deserved it because my sisters and me were jumping in it). After a few minutes I freaked a little, because I heard an alarm , which I hadn't heard before, and it seemed like it took forever before the guy finally came. Then of course, Royal wasn't calm either. We paced a little, then sat down, and then Royal prayed. After that we calmed down, and just started talking. It wasn't much longer when the elevator started again and we got out. I think what made it harder for me this time getting stuck than the last one is that we had stuff with us last time to keep ourselves occupied, whereas Royal and I didn't, and it left us too much time to think. Now that it's over with the experience is funny to think about. I am sorry to Marisa that we never got to playing Scattergories, by the time we got out of the elevator it was too late for that. Altogether, I think the conference was quite enjoyable and some great speakers, plus we had a great hiding spot, and Josh never found us.
