Monday, March 29, 2004 I still haven't finished my post, been really busy. This whole week we were up at the church running a prayer labyrinth. What that is, is a maze that you go thru while you listen to a headset, and thruout the maze there are stops where the headset tells you what to do, al relating to prayer. the 6th center was the neatest, it was a table with candles bread, and grape juice for a personal communion and time of confession. There was another center where you lit a candle for whoever came to your mind and prayed for them. Another center you put your footprints in a box of wet sand, and asked God to to help you live a life, so that when its over, you left an impression. there were alot of other centers, but I'm not going to describe every one. We sat outside the door and gave people the headsets, then told them what to do, made sure everything in the room was ready for them, etc. from 9 am to 10 pm every day this weekend. Today I am at home relaxing, not doing much of anything. At the moment I have a song by superchick stuck in my head. Here's how it goes:
" All princes start as frogs, and all gentlemen as dogs. Just wait 'till it's plain to see, what we're growing up to be. Some frogs will still be frogs, and some dogs will still be dogs. Some boys can become men just don't kiss us till then." I kinda like it, but you'd have to actually hear it to see what you think. Tomorrow I'm going to take care of my great gma's who has alzheimers', and will be there until friday. There's not alot to do over there, so I should get that next post finished by then. Well, blessings to all, thanks for waiting patiently. Tuesday, March 09, 2004 Hey peeps, haven't posted in awhile because I was gonna try to find something exciting to post about. NEWS FLASH: It didn't happen. I guess this will just be one of my regular posts until I get around to that. My friend came in town this past week for her spring break, and she taught me a song in sign language called "enough". I really enjoy sign, and am thinking that when I have the funds and transportation, I would like to take some courses to be an interpreter. Someone brought to my attention the pediatrics field, that could be a fun thing. I'm trying to decide what I want to do, of course I'm not going to work my whole life. When I'm older I hope to be a full-time mom, but only God knows where my future will end up. This summer I am planning on a trip to the Ukraine. It's a camp called Radooga and what I would be doing is working to teach Russian kids English and the Bible. I am excited and nervous at the same time, because I know I'll have to step out of my comfort zone a little, but also I can learn so much, and it could be a once in a lifetime oppurtunity. I would appreciate prayer for this, being that I'm nervous. This weekend I got to learn to work a spotlight for a children's musical. The kids did great, and I was having fun. Anyway, that's my story. drop a line if you have anything to say. Blessings, Alicia |
