Tuesday, September 28, 2004 I have these shoes that I love. I've had them for a year or two, and they're falling apart. The thing is, I got them at a discount store and can't find another pair anyplace, it's really sad. Here's what they look like:
A couple weeks ago I went to Houston, and I saw this pair of shoes that I really liked. They're the same color and same sort of idea as my other shoes, but I can't decide if I like them well enough to replace my shoes. I found a picture online, and here's what they look like: So, anyway, that's what the deal is. My shoes still can get a little more wear, or at least I think that they can(some of the rest of my family may not agree). I'll wear them until the stitching comes all the way undone, it's already starting to happen. Sort of a random post, but I thought I'd try to write different than usual. Monday, September 13, 2004 Hey, it took awhile to post b/c I wasn't able to do it from my aunt's computer. As you've prolly already read on the blogs, we had a nice labor day weekend, I'm just gonna tell abt. it from my perspective. Friday Josh, my sisters, and I rode out to the mabritos to spend the nite, it was fun. A friend of ours, John, was also out there, I had a nice visit with him, as well as everybody else. Josh and John went to bed at a decent time, but while they were sleeping me, my sisters, and Renee, Chrispa, and Travis were giggling hysterically and having a good 'ol time. The next morning Josh woke me up early(that's when I wished I had of gone to bed earlier) and we read our Bibles on top of the water tower. After we had finished reading, we woke Travis and Jordan up to go on a little adventure, it was fun, and we got to taste some fruit from a cactus we found. Later on we headed out to Camp Alzafar, a shriner camp that's one of my favorite places to go. Here's the link-http://www.campalzafar.org. We spent most of our time at the river, first we went to one end and found this tree in the middle to jump off of into the water. We thought we were having an awesome time there, then Megan and Audrey suggested going to the other end. We were pretty doubtful abt having fun there, until Audrey showed us the cliff. The cliff was 12 or 13 ft. high, and the water where we jumped from it was a little over my head. At first it was scary, but then it was so awesome we couldn't quit jumping. After awhile we headed back up and ate, then headed back again. I said I was cold and wasn't going back in, but ended up doing it anyway. We got my cousin Stevi and her husband up there and to jump as well, it was great! Before we left, we had to spend alittle time on the maypole, my favorite thing on the playground. It's a pole with bars where you run in circles and jump to see who can last the longest. The next morning(well, by the time my gma and aunt came it was more like 11:00), I left for houston with my gma. to stay a week at my aunt's. My grandma has essential tremors, and there is a doctor that specializes in that up there. She went for a treatment(botox injections in her hands and neck) and we should know if they were effective any day now. There wasn't alot to do there while my aunt was at work and we were stuck at the house, except the internet and cable. I have old neighbors who live really close to my aunt's house, so one night I went over there and hung out with them, played with their baby(she is so cute!!) and played video games with their son. I ate dinner with them, and had some German potato salad, it was good. Then we looked at old pictures and visited, that was prolly the highlight of my trip. we came home friday, just in time for me to work GymJam, we had a fun relay race for the kids and a game calle the gauntlet they all loved. I think that's enough for y'all to read at one time, I'll post again sooner than I did this time.
