Here's yer sign

Hey Guys, as most of you know this past summer I went to Ukraine to teach english camp. While I was over there I made friends with some of the Ukranian staff and still keep in touch with them. Right now Ukraine is going thru a hard time with their government/president situation and alot of people are standing out on the streets day and night protesting for who they think is right. It really made me sad when I got these two emails from my friends:

This is a letter that my friend Halyna sent to me, things in her part of the country are not going well at all, I don't know about other places. Keep the Ukrainian people in your continuous prayers. Love, Kelsey

things in Ukraine are just horrible!!!!!!!! There is going to be a revolution I guess !!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything is so corruptive!!!!!!!!!! I just don't have words to express everything that I feel now!!!!!!!!! There hundreds of thousands of people in the Streets!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the lessonns are canceled in the University and alll the Students are at the Demonstrations. It's freezing here but people have spend 3 nghts outside now!!!!! I just came in the library for a half an hour to werite to you and to send an e card to your parents !!!!!!! I'm so cold but I'll have to go back in a while!!! PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR US, FOR JUSHCHENKO, AND FOR PEACEFUL OUTCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear friends!!!
I would like to ask you to pray for the Ukraine in connection with the situation, which is here. We have prayed for 2 nights this Tuesday and Wednesday. We don't want war in our country. Pray that God may bless our nation and prevent from war. We really need your prayer support. God is in control and we, as God's children must intercede for our country. I would like you to support us in prayer. You're close to our people because you were in involved in ministry in our country so I'd like you to participate in praying for Ukraine.

I decided to look online to see what I could find out, and actually was able to find a recent article on the yahoo news page. Actually there's a bunch of them:

I don't really know alot about Ukraine's history and government, but I know that the friends I made over there(as well as many more people) are going thru a rough time. I ask that you guys keep them in your prayers, thanks.

I have been interested in sign language for awhile, and 8 weeks ago I decided to sign up for a community course. It's been great, I love it, and my teacher tells me I do well at it. She says I have a broad vocabulary and a good memory, which will help alot. My goal is to speak fluently, so I will be looking into more classes. My teacher is an interpreter at church, which sounds like a pretty fun job. In December Pastor Kemble has a conference here, and I am going to get up and sign to the group, while Ashley interprets what I say. Then I'll sign a song, just to give everybody an idea of a deaf worship service. It was one of those ideas I had really late at nite and kept Ashley up longer than she planned because I was hyper and excited about it, I get that way when I have an idea I like. The other day we went to a mall with and went in this really cool place called build-a-bear workshop. what you do is pick the bear skin you want, then get it stuffed and sewed, then pick out clothes for it. It was so cute, and crazy with people. I don't think blogging is as in as fotopages right now, but I'm still posting until it's completely dead. Blessings yall, Alicia
